Aromatherapy

Michele has been a licensed esthetician since 1987.  She is a CIDESCO diplomat and teaches the CIDESCO program at Miss Marty’s Hair Academy & Esthetics Institute in San Francisco.  Michele is a multi-published freelance writer who writes on skincare industry topics.  She is a registered aromatherapist, a salon business consultant, and owns Concepts, a skin care clinic in San Francisco.

1. Knowledge and basic chemistry and functional groups of the most common essential oils, their properties and how they are used.

2. Basic history of essential oils. How to recognize adulterated and degraded oils.

3. Understanding of vegetable, base oils, and boosters. Knowledge of the distillation and extraction processes.

4. Holistic approach to prescribing essential oils and methods of administration.

5. Principles of blending.

6. Therapeutic blending technique (hands on).

This is a two day class that will require attendance on two consecutive weekends.

Elisabeth Kiss is a Certified Medical Esthetician, Electrologist and well-known Bay Area Educator. After graduating from the prestigious College of Aesthetics in Hungary she studied for three years with emphasis on biology, chemistry and biochemistry.  Elisabeth continued her education in the field of Dermatology to become a Medical Esthetician, holding a license in both Hungary and the United States. 

She is the founder of Elisabeth Kiss Euroskin Institute and has worked 27 years in the field of esthetics
